I recently had the pleasure of completing my RePL, 25kg endorsement, and AROC training with Toll Uncrewed in Brisbane, and my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The training team, facilities, and overall professionalism exceeded my expectations and demonstrated why Toll Uncrewed is a top-tier provider in the drone training industry. RePL & 25kg Training Under the guidance of Nic and Kent, my RePL and 25kg endorsement training was thorough, engaging, and highly practical. Nic, with his extensive background as an ex-commercial pilot, brought an unparalleled depth of knowledge and perspective to the course. His ability to translate complex aviation concepts into clear, actionable training was truly impressive. Nic’s focus on safety, situational awareness, and operational efficiency reflected his aviation roots and elevated the learning experience to a professional standard rarely seen in this space. Kent, on the other hand, balanced the training with his practical insights and real-world operational expertise. His methodical approach to handling drones of various weights, combined with his approachable teaching style, made the technical aspects of the course both manageable and enjoyable. Together, Nic and Kent created a dynamic learning environment where I felt supported and well-prepared to handle both theoretical and practical challenges. AROC Training The AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate) component, led by Ben, was another highlight of the program. Ben’s deep understanding of aeronautical communication protocols, combined with his patient and structured approach to teaching, ensured that I gained a solid grasp of this critical skill. His practical exercises and emphasis on real-world scenarios provided a strong foundation for radio communication in controlled airspace, which is vital for any professional drone operator. The PERFECT course for anyone who has never touched a drone or for someone who has not flown "professionally" for a couple of years. If you walk out after the course & have learnt 1 thing then the course has payed for itself. Charlie, (the instructor), was FANTASTIC considering it was his first Course at being an Instructor, he has the correct Persona & Knowledge to Instruct. The only "down fall" in my opinion is that I flew the MAVIC for 3 hours but never actually learnt anything about the CONTROL DISPLAY PANEL & I believe that half of flying a Drone is Knowledge of the REMOTE CONTROL but saying that Charlie may have thought I would pick the Knowledge up on my own because I was the only 1 on course that had some experience.
